     Ryan is a New York based actor and writer. He holds both a BFA in Acting and a BA in English from the University of Connecticut (Go Huskies!). He was born and raised in Stratford, Connecticut, where he worked with the Square One Theatre Company under the direction of Tom Holehan. At the University of Connecticut, Ryan appeared in the Connecticut regional premiere of Theresa Rebeck's O Beautiful at Connecticut Repertory Theater, and in CRT's production of Man of La Mancha starring Broadway star Terrence Mann, among numerous other performances.
 
     As a writer, Ryan's first full length play, The Island Boys, premiered Off Broadway at Urban Stages in November of 2015. He is also the star and creator of the web series How to Grow Up, about a lost college grad who decides to uproot his suburban life and head to New York City. Seasons 1 & 2 can be found on Youtube. His second play, The Veritas Times, made its world premier at New York Theater Festival in January 2018. Ryan has also written numerous one-act plays that have made appearances throughout NYC. 
 
     Finally, Ryan is the Founder and Artistic Director of Vulcan Theatre Company, an independent theatrical collective here in New York. They are regular producers of new one-act play festivals, and staged their first full production, Shakespeare's Macbeth, in March of 2020.
